The City of Wilmington is made up of many different neighborhoods, all within a few miles of the city’s center and all just steps from the park setting trails along the Brandywine River. The Trolley Square area may be one of the most popular neighborhoods and is known for its vintage town homes, apartments, and condos, as well as many historical homes. Adjacent to Trolley Square is the Highlands area, known for its gorgeous estate-type homes on wide leafy streets. It sits at the foot of Rockford Park, a treasured place to run, walk or hang out at the dog park. Wawaset Park, another beloved city neighborhood just off Route 52, is an enclave of various styles of homes, from large turn of the century estate homes, to beautiful clustered townhomes thoughtfully arranged on quaint cul-de-sacs. There are many other areas of the city as well – and due to Wilmington’s size, it is all very walkable!
