The Greenville and Centreville communities are adjacent to each other and are perfectly situated between the gorgeous Brandywine and Red Clay Valleys. This area is steeped in history as its early residents were from the duPont family who carefully created preserved open spaces that survive today, such as 1000 acres at Winterthur Museum, and the 1100 acres of the extensive running, walking and equestrian trails of First State National Park. Two shopping plazas serve the area and contain wonderful shops and delicious restaurants. The area is also served by the Red Clay school district – home of the awarded Wilmington Charter School and AI duPont Middle School. Neighborhoods, such as Westover Hills, Centennial, Anglesey, Barley Mill are just a few of the many established enclaves in this area.
